Product Updates, September 24, 2026 – October 8, 2026

Workflows & Review

  • Default read-only reviewers: workflow group managers can assign read-only reviewers to review steps, visible in reviewer settings, grids, request summaries, and workflow grids.

  • External reviewer nominations: additional stakeholders can nominate external reviewers for administrator approval.

  • Profile fields in workflow forms: faculty profile and custom field content can be auto-populated into survey and review forms.

  • Appointment updates from workflows: actions within a workflow can be configured to trigger a change to candidates' primary appointment, including rank, department, title, dates, FTE, and appointment type.

  • Faculty visibility control: cases with no faculty-assigned steps can stay hidden from faculty until they become involved or materials are released, with clearer empty states.

  • Letters easier to find: completed workload letters now appear directly in faculty case and dashboard views with clearer download actions.

  • Letter file names: letter PDFs include the candidate name by default and support custom filenames.

  • Calculated values in letters: letter templates can use calculated values derived from candidate information or workflow inputs (for example, total assigned workload hours across categories).

  • Vote results in documents: calculated properties can now pull Vote question results, so vote names and tallies can populate promotion and tenure documents.

  • Custom reminder sender: workflow email reminders can use a custom From name and address for each workflow.

  • Send Back on completed cases: institution admins and read/write workflow managers can send back completed cases.

  • Early reviewer access: assigned reviewers can be given access to step actions before their step becomes current (for example, access to committee materials).

  • Reviewer email logging: faculty evaluation activity logs now record external reviewer nominations, survey-ready emails, and completed-survey notifications.

  • Workflow grid sharing: share workflow grids with individual viewers or managers, or with all of them at once.

  • Add faculty member: when adding faculty to workflows, faculty already assigned to another evaluation group now appear disabled in the picker.

  • Unsaved answer notice: surveys now say clearly when an answer was not saved because of validation errors.

Reporting & Grids

  • Multi-activity grids: build one grid across activity kinds such as publications, presentations, and grants, with shared profile columns and optional kind-specific fields; views can be saved, shared, exported, and scheduled.

  • Contact information grids: report on all labeled emails, phone numbers, and addresses, with individually exportable address fields.

  • Admin notes in Faculty Roster: admin profile notes can now be configured to appear in the Faculty Roster grid.

Faculty Profiles & Activities

  • Bulk CV imports: department admins can upload CVs individually or in batches, match them by identifier, assign unmatched files, and send them to faculty for review before acceptance.

  • Moving a single activity: moving one item now opens a pre-filled form for the target activity type.

  • CV import picklists: picklist fields show their allowed options and flag imported values that don't match.Document Export

Document Export

  • AMA citation style: CV exports now support AMA style for journal articles, books, chapters, conference proceedings, reviews, and editorials.

  • Page orientation: workflow PDF exports default to portrait, with landscape available for wide activity tables.

  • Landscape table options: combine organization fields into one column and hide selected fields from the PDF while keeping them in the app.

  • Edition formatting: edition fields for citations are now numeric and render consistently in citations, such as "1st ed.", including values imported as ordinal text.

Admin & Configuration

  • Email delivery tracking: department admins can review delivered emails in Settings, including external review emails with their full content and envelope details.

  • Changelog in the app: a sidebar link now opens the Changelog directly.

Scholarly Assistant

  • Edit with AI in grids: an Edit with AI button lets you refine custom reports with the Assistant.

  • Navigate from the Assistant: move around the app from the Assistant pane without closing it.

Accessibility

  • Accessible form validation: invalid fields are marked and linked to their messages across all input types, and the error summary takes focus and is announced after a failed submit.

  • Linked error summary: each message in the error summary links to its field and moves focus there.

  • Survey submission feedback: screen readers announce failed survey submissions and name any unanswered required questions.

  • Status announcements: flash messages, page titles after navigation, and filtered or sorted result counts are announced to screen readers.

  • Autosave announcements: "Saved." is announced once typing settles, and newer edits cancel outdated announcements.

  • Loading and progress: loading indicators and progress bars expose labels, current progress, and completion or error states.

  • Keyboard reordering: sortable lists, such as eligibility rules, groups, permission roles, and export sections, can be reordered by keyboard and screen reader.

  • Tabs and disclosures: segment switchers use tab semantics with arrow-key navigation, and expandable sections report whether they are open or closed.

  • Labeled controls: profile filter rule builder fields and the CV import section picker now have accessible names.
