Responsible AI Innovation
At Scholarly, we understand that AI is a powerful tool, but it needs to be used responsibly, especially in higher education. We take a considered approach when it comes to deploying AI and are transparent about how our AI features work.
When integrating AI into the Scholarly platform, we incorporate the following principles:
Humans in the loop. We believe AI is a great assistant but shouldn’t act unilaterally. All AI functionality we develop requires humans as an important double-check.
Transparency. We are clear about what data is used for our AI features, and how it is used. We explain our process so you can see how we arrived at a result.
Security. Data security is paramount for us, and we never use faculty data to train AI models. We are SOC 2 Type II compliant, which means we meet the highest standards for security and privacy.
AI Paste
Scholarly's innovative AI tools transform the way faculty report their activities. Effortlessly paste data from your CV and let Scholarly's intelligent algorithms automatically populate the relevant fields, dramatically reducing data entry time.
AI Query
Empowers administrators and department chairs to unlock the full potential of their data, without needing a data scientist. By using plain text questions, users can instantly generate insights, visualizations, and reports on demand. Save charts to include in presentations or reports.
AI Letter Drafting
Can write the first draft of review letters or appointment letters. AI Letter Drafting can look at year-over-year changes and help detect bias in a review.
AI Expertise Finder
Inspects faculty members' contributions and maps them to areas of expertise. This feature helps faculty members find collaborators.
